I create tin and driftwood sculpture based on my observations of British wildlife.
My work is a series of sculptural pieces based on British wildlife, a passion of mine brought about by my childhood in the Derbyshire countryside. It is the movement of the creature that to me informs its character, and this is what I try to capture in my quirky creations.
I use recycled tins and pieces of driftwood as I feel sustainability is important, also there is something rather special about making plain and tired materials into prized and loved objects.
My work includes small brooches and earrings, wall mounted rustic plaques, boxed individual and triptych works, freestanding pieces and larger pieces some of which involve movement and audience interaction.
I also make and sell a range of complimentary papercuts and prints taken from my observational photographs and sketches.
My work ranges from £15 - £200 in price.
