Photo Canvases and Greetings Cards combining elements of photography, art and design

My name is Richard. I worked as a Graphic Designer for many years and always had a keen interest in Photography and Illustration work. As a teenager I sold illustrations burnt into various wooden objects at craft fairs. This was known as Pyrography.

In recent years I have done a lot of travel and art photography. I now produce photographic based Canvases, Greetings Cards and Tote Bags in a graphic style similar to the effect created by screen printing. I use software to enhance my photo images to create what I hope is my own style.

As a child I remember being fascinated by those big chrome 50s American cars with massive fins which I used to make drawings of all the time. I have taken this as inspiration for my current collection The Cuban Series of prints which I shot originally in Havana and Trinidad (Cuba) in 2011. These have been updated and stylised to create a set which I will be displaying this year. I hope to follow up with new series later.
