Pet portrait artsit based in Lightwater, Surrey
Born in London I am a self-taught pastel artist based in Lightwater and take much of my inspiration from animals and their antics.
I cannot remember a time when I did not love two things drawing and animals. It was not until 1990 that I combined the two in the most logical way and did my first pet portrait, a doberman. That one picture set me on a path where I dabbled for years before deciding to do pet portraits professionally.
When I am not working on pet portraits and the odd human portrait, I am working on random animal pictures which you can find for sale in my gallery.
Many of these pictures are taken from imagination and I like to include a touch of quirky humour, a pinch of fantasy or a little slice of mischief to present a conventional subject matter in a very unconventional way, with the aim of building a highly stylised and unusual gallery.
I am an occasional demonstrator, a regular on the Isle of Wight Craft Fayre scene and I have sent commissions as far afield as Australia and India.
