Margate had a ‘Summer of Colour’ this year. Thanet may not always get a good press but it is a place of awesome natural beauty not least the incredible colours in the skies. I feel truly blessed to live here and I’ve tried to capture some of this. I love living by the sea and seeing the sky changing from minute to minute.

Ive lived in Margate since the age of 10. It was about the same time that I started taking photos with an old Kodak Instamatic.

I take photographs of things and places that interest me and try to make them stand out. Ill often have an idea of something Id like to see and wait for it to happen or arrange something in a particular way.
