Johns Wood

All items are turned on a lathe in my garden shed from locally sourced wood

Johns Wood is based in a garden workshop equipped with bandsaw, pillar drill, table saw and lathe. From locally sourced wood bowls, platters, trinket boxes, candle holders, tea lights, pens, vases and other items which can be turned and are basically round! The wood comes from felled trees in local gardens and farmland. Ash, beech, yew, oak and fruitwood are amongst some of the varieties I have turned. I am always on the look out for an interesting piece of wood and have some pieces made from exotic woods like indigo and utele which are off cuts from local joiners. I have also made products to order but deal mostly through craft fairs.
