hand-crafted braid and bead jewellery
We use a variety of procedures, but the main pieces are hand woven using Kumihimo, a modern interpretation of an ancient Japanese braiding technique. Originally used by Buddhist monks, traditionally for the belt of a kimono, it was also used by Samurai Warriors as laces for their armour. Kumihimo is Japanese for gathered threads.
Cords and ribbons are interlaced incorporating beads and pendants.
We are happy to make pieces to order. Each piece is a handcrafted one of a kind and can be tailored to your specifications
