TikkaDeBoo keepsakes

A beautiful array of quilted ornaments made from fabric and ribbon.

i have always been an avid crafter, trying numerous crafts over the years.Earlier in the year I was searching for a special keepsake gift, whilst searching I came across Quilted ornaments which were stunning. After numerous searches the only places I could find to obtain them were the United States and Western Europe.
I decided I would try and make one myself, consequently they have become all consuming and have been popular with friends and family.
These ornaments are made on a styrofoam ball measuring approximately 8cm in diameter, they are then covered using folded fabric and ribbon, or a combination of both, which are pinned into place in numerous variations, creating different designs. By using different colour ways different effects can be achieved.
My first ornament was to celebrate the birth of a baby , but I have gone on to create them for birthdays, weddings, anniversary’s, and Christmas.once complete they are embellished with pearl head pins, braid, ribbon or sequins. Each ornament is unique. The ornaments can be personalised by adding a cross stitch panel, containing name and date for a wedding, new arrival, or anniversary.
As well as folded fabric I have started to make Kimekomi ornament which are styrofoam balls which are cut and the fabric is tucked in.
These ornaments can be posted anywhere in the UK
