Meet Gill – The Fimo Lady
Polymer Clay Artist Teacher, Designer, Demonstrator and Maker of Miniature Magic

Gill has been working with polymer clay for over 40 years, turning her lifelong passion into a vibrant creative career. Now back in her native Yorkshire, she continues to inspire children and adults alike with her enthusiasm, expertise and unmistakable sense of fun.

Affectionately known as “The Fimo Lady”, Gill works with Fimo polymer clay to create everything from tiny characters to bold jewellery, intricate canes, bespoke artwork and quirky one and 8209off commissions. Whether she’s teaching, demonstrating, sculpting or designing, she brings the same warmth, humour and professionalism to every project.

Craft Fairs and Events
Gill has taken part in countless craft fairs, fetes and markets across Yorkshire and beyond. Alongside selling her work, she also demonstrates polymer clay techniques live at events, giving visitors a chance to see the process behind her creations. Her stall is always filled with colour, character and creativity, drawing in people of all ages who are curious about the possibilities of polymer clay.

Workshops for Children
Gill offers a huge range of hands and 8209on clay experiences for young makers, including:

Birthday parties (ages 7+)
Nurseries, pre and 8209schools and playgroups
Primary and Secondary Schools – curriculum and 8209linked workshops, whole and 8209school art pieces, after and 8209school clubs and holiday sessions
Special Education settings – drawing on extensive experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities
Looked After Children groups, Young Carers, disability groups
Community drop and 8209in workshops in museums, craft shops, garden centres, parks and more
Uniformed groups – Brownies, Guides, Cubs, Boys Brigade, etc.

Every session is relaxed, friendly and designed to help children explore their creativity with confidence.

Talks, Demonstrations and Creative Sessions
Gill regularly visits groups, events and organisations to share her love of polymer clay. She offers engaging talks, live demonstrations and mini “make and 8209and and 8209take” sessions that introduce people to the possibilities of Fimo in a fun, accessible way.

Bespoke Artwork
Gill creates unique, made and 8209to and 8209order pieces tailored to each client. Her popular “Favourite Things Pictures” feature miniature clay icons representing someone’s hobbies, memories and loves — from holidays and music to cars, pets, books and even bagpipes.

Workshops for Adults
Gill runs tailored bead and 8209making and jewellery workshops for adults, suitable for complete beginners through to more experienced makers. Each session is taught step and 8209by and 8209step, with plenty of room for personal creativity and exploration. She also collaborates with embroidery and textile artists who enjoy incorporating polymer clay elements into their work.
