D Royle Pens

All items are hand turned by myself at home in the village of Ribchester.
These items include Pens, Keyrings, Wine Bottle Stoppers and Seam Rippers in a wide variety of materials and stiles.
Materials used include natural and laminated woods as well as acrylic compsites.
Wood is locally sourced where possible. For example Sycamore, Horse Chestnut, and Beech from woods in and around the village, Yew from a tree standing near the local St. Peter and Paul Church. Elm Burr from a tree deposited on the bank of the River Ribble after a large flood back in 1990, The English Oak are the beam retaining pegs from a late 17th Ribchester cottage when the roof was repaired.
Exotic woods include Spalted Tiger Oak, Buckeye Burl, Flame Box Elder, Spalted Hackberry, Purpleheart, Pink Ivory, Tiger Myrtle, Curly Myrtle and Sassisa. Even snake skin.
Acrylic stiles include plain and multicoloured swirls and patterns and even shredded American dollars.
Inlay pens are made from natural and artificially coloured woods to form a wide variety of pictures and designs.

There is a wide variety of pen styles, such as Slimline, Chairman, Gents and Mesa in Rollerball and Fountain Pen with Chrome or Gold fittings.
Rollerball use standard inserts whilst Fountain Pens use widely available cartridge refills.
