Barbara Chaplin contemporary mosaic artist

Barbara is a self-taught mosaic artist and has undertaken courses in France, Italy and England. Her work is inspired by nature and contemporary art works.

My objective is to show the diversity of original, contemporary mosaic art work in both 2D and 3D forms. My work is both decorative and utilitarian for interior use or outside in the garden.

I use a great variety of materials including smalti, vitreous glass, slate, semi-precious stones , recycled and found objects. Each tile or piece of material is individually cut to size by myself.
