My travel bags are all airline compliant and have water resistant linings. As do my fun rucksacks for children.
I have great enjoyment in making an eclectic mix of fabric water resistant travel bags, childrens water resistant rucksacks, knitted bags scarves and special occasion stoles (very suitable for bridal shrugs) and other and various knitted items. All my travel bags are airline compliant and because they are fabric they can easily be stored in overhead areas on a plane. Having run a successful home based bridal wear business (making and designing ) for nearly 30 years I diversified into crafts 7 years ago and I am thoroughly enjoying attending craft fairs and meeting the extremely friendly stall holders in the West Country. As well as the above items, I also knit and sew vintage tops and other items such as cotton skirts and trousers.
I have always enjoyed making my own clothes and studied arts and crafts at school - getting a place at the West of England College of Art. However, unfortunate circumstances meant I could not take up the place so I concentrated on making and designing for friends and family. Whilst working in the media I made wedding dresses, suits and dresses for colleagues, and in
1990 I started my own wedding dress business. Now I concentrate on the crafts listed above.
There is a real joy in buying new wool and visualising the finished garment. It is a event of great excitement when the delivery
van arrives with another package of beautiful wool for my knitted items or material for my bags
