I create paintings, prints, decoupage frames, gift wrap and greetingscards

There are two strands to my practice one predominantly in gouache and watercolour and the other in oil and acrylics on a larger scale.

Subject and techniques overlap and have a decorative content. I originally qualified with a BA Hons Degree in Theatre Design, which continues to influence my work through an interest in narrative and theatricality. The paintings frequently involve characters in landscape or interiors and I have considerable training in modern dance (which I also teach) which accounts for the lyrical elements of my practice involving movement, expressive marks and colours.

There is a craft element to my work, as I create decoupage frames for my prints. My art is also used for the applied arts as gift wrap and greetings cards.

I am based in Worcestershire, but exhibit nationally.
