My name is Leon, I am 21 year old woodworker making and selling a range of unique handcrafted flutes, whistles, utensils, and more.

I started GreenForestCraftsUK in spring of 2025, but my journey with wood started over a decade ago, when I was about 10. My first proper project was handcarving a bow, I worked non stop for about 12 hours on a shave horse, taking shavings off little by little. I could barely sleep that night, so excited to string it up and shoot some milk cartons. The second I tried to tiller it, the bow snapped in two.
Since then I have been obsessed, the tedious and frail nature of making stuff out of wood gripped me. For years I developed my skills making gifts for family and friends, building my confidence until I decided to sell some whistles. I made an Etsy page and starting adding listings of the things I was already making, spoons, toys, carved figures. The feedback I got from reviews was motivatingly positive so I kept going. Now I sell a range of items, offering handcarved wooden signs, intricately carved whistles, ladles, and most importantly Native American style 5-hole flutes. They are my main product now and its because I make them to a very high quality and sell them much cheaper than name brand flutes pumped out of factories. Each one is entirely taken from block of wood to tediously hand-tuned and hand-sanded by me, and the effort I put in shows in my products having an average of (4.9/5) reviews.
