Hi, I’m Nicki, owner and creator at Shiny Penny Glassware and Mum of 4.

As a child I could always be found colouring, painting and doing anything creative. And then through most of my adult life I was a nail technician specialising in nail art. After completing a degree and masters degree in History and International Relations respectively, I realised I wasn’t meant for anything other than a creative job.

I’d began crafting again as a way to release some stress while completing my masters degree. One of my children is visually impaired and we were going through lots of glassware that he was beginning to struggle to see. When looking for nice glassware that he’d be able to see and not smash, I decided to have a whirl and creating my own and Shiny Penny Glassware was born.

In the last four years Shiny Penny has gone from strength to strength with over 7,000 online orders alone. My range has grown from just drink ware in the beginning, to vases and glass storage jars as well available in over 100 designs - meaning there is something for everyone.

My ethos is to create beautifully hand decorated, functional and affordable pieces that make perfect additions to your home or as gifts for special occasions. All items are made to order, making them completely customisable. And I can even add a short personalised message to gifts if you wish.
