Kinkalore

Everyday pieces in standout fabrics.

Kinkalore creates modern textile pieces for everyday life, including sewing totes, cushion covers, bunting, scrunchies, hairbands, toiletry bags and pouches. Each item is thoughtfully designed and carefully sewn, with fabric always at the heart of the process.

My love of textiles began many years ago and has grown through collecting fabrics from all around the world. I’m endlessly drawn to pattern, colour, texture and the stories that cloth can carry — from bold graphic prints to subtle, time-worn designs. Over time, my collection grew to include rare finds, discontinued textiles and special pieces that were too beautiful to leave unused.

Wanting to find meaningful, practical ways to use these fabrics is what led me to sewing. What began as an exploration of how best to honour the textiles soon became a passion for making functional, well-crafted items that could be used and enjoyed every day. Fabric is always the starting point, with each design shaped around the character of the material itself.

Wherever possible, I also work with offcuts and surplus textiles, giving new life to fabrics that might otherwise be overlooked. This approach means many items are made in small batches or as one-offs, celebrating individuality and reducing waste along the way.

Kinkalore is about considered design, a love of pattern, and the belief that beautiful textiles deserve to be part of everyday living — not hidden away. Each piece is made to be practical, long-lasting and full of character, perfect for your home, your daily essentials, or as a thoughtful gift
