I love making this yarn. I sort the fleece from my friends at Braeside Farm in the hills of Collessie, The Kingdom of Fife, Scotland. It’s in my bones, my heritage. I love every stage - skirting, scouring, carding or combing, dyeing, spinning, plying and twisting into skeins. Processing fleece into yarn is such a joy. Connecting with nature and creating a wonderfully unique, locally made product. Spinning is mesmerising and it’s the gentle rhythmic cadence of my wheel that soothes me in this hurried world.
