Bertie, my miniature schnauzer is the inspiration for writing my childrens books because he has such an affinity with children I thought it would be lovely to write a book about how he began his life in the big wide world.
My books are for children aged 2-5 - Berties Story is about how he saw the big world when he was born and settling into his forever home with us. I am intending to donate any profits from sales of my books to Zoes Place, A Childrens Hospice in Normanby near Middlesbrough.
The reason I have chosen Zoes Place is, firstly of course because they do such marvellous work to help children with life limiting or debilitating illnesses and their families. Secondly, because children love Bertie and Bertie adores them, so what better cause than a childrens book for a childrens Charity.
My second book is called Three Dogs, A Snowman and a Robin which also based on Bertie, this time he meets a snowman and a robin who can talk to him. Again ideal for children aged 2-5. This book is in the process of being published and will be available shortly.

As the Christmas Fairs begin, I also make fabric Christmas tree decorations and other items such as Christmas aprons, cushion covers, peg bags.and tote bags which I am really enjoying and will be selling alongside my books.
Again, profits from the sales of these items will be donated to Zoe Place.
