Peter Smith paintings

I am an artist specialising in acrylic paintings on canvas.

I am an artist based in Melton Mowbray and I specialise in acrylic work on canvas. I exhibit regularly in the local area and also welcome commission work. I am secretary of the Melton Mowbray art group and a member of the Market Overton group.

I produce a wide range of work including portraits, animals, landscapes, local scenes and steam railways both British and foreign. My paintings vary in size and commissioned work can be produced to suit a particular location they are sold unframed to allow the purchaser to choose a frame suitable for their home or they can be hung unframed. A hanging cord is always attached.

My latest work is always uploaded to my Facebook group Peter Smith paintings. Paintings can be posted, delivered locally or collected by the purchaser. I like to have my work on display at local craft fairs and suchlike as its a good opportunity to talk to other artists and to the public about what they like and may not like.

I paint because I enjoy it which is always the best reason for doing something and if someone else likes my work enough to buy it that is hugely encouraging. I have work in America, France, Australia and New Zealand so the push for world domination is well under way!

The prices in my shop include postage but if the picture can be collected a 5 percent discount applies.
