My name is Áine - Irish for queen of the faeries - and I am the hands behind Dove and Shadow. I am very passionate about ecologically friendly clothing, which is why I only use deadstock, secondhand, vintage or repurposed fabrics to make many different items of clothing from jackets to corsets to suits. Every item is unique and made with care, to a high standard and with self-expression in mind - what do you want your clothing to say about you?

I have been hand making clothes and altering since I was a little girl, and have just made friends with the sewing machine a few years ago, which led to Dove and Shadow and the realisation that upcycling and creating in this way is an art form that I would like to share with others. I love satins, velvets, vintage fruit and floral patterns, paisley, anything that feels luxurious, from a faraway era and romantic with a bit of edge.
