Handcrafted leather goods using salvaged and rescued leather.

Handmade in Peckham by self-taught artist India, DIANI sells small runs of real genuine leather products which are thoughtfully crafted from offcuts that would otherwise be thrown away. All products are produced using traditional leather-making techniques. Hand-punched and hand-stitched no machinery is involved.

DIANIs founder India has always loved creating art and practical accessories, gifting handmade presents to close friends and family from a young age. Whilst studying Psychology at University of Sussex she began to sell painted artworks and commissioned portraits, but has continuously returned to the desire to work more practically, producing useful products from otherwise unused materials.

Sustainability is at the heart of DIANI, centred around principles of circular economy, DIANI uses leather offcuts locally sourced from upholsterers within the UK. Use of recycled materials is maximised where possible, such as in product packaging, which makes use of old newspapers and tissue paper, previously used as gift wrap, given a new lease of life.

Talented friends and family are at the heart of DIANI, which is a community effort. Photography is by Abi ( at abistyles) and Alex ( at ajevens) created the DIANI logo. Alistair, an antique furniture restoration specialist, based here in the south-east of England, provides most of the leather resources. Other small businesses have built this small business and our intention is to continue to support each other in our individual ventures.
