I make jewellery with cork and trade acessories also made with cork from Portugal. My suppliers are certified. I have just started my little business. Im caring for mum with dementia. Mums illness doesnt allow me to work full time. So, Im using my spare time at home to be creative. Hoping this little business allow me to get some income coming in. My little business has as main material Cork. Cork is the most sustainable material on earth, I believe. Cork is taken out of the tree by hand. The tree is not damaged and this process occurs every 9 years. A Cork tree can live up to 300 years. Cork can be used form almost every thing like jewellery, any kind of bags and purses, shoes, umbrellas, flooring, isolation and recently starting to use for clothing. Cork is a big hop for our planet.
