Sara Hood Fine Art - Sculpture

Sara Hood Fine Art

Neurodivergent artist making neurodiverse ceramic sculptures and grounding objects.

My ceramic works range from sculptures to grounding objects and functional items like trivets and dishes. Most of my work has a rabbit motif or form symbolising the fight, flight or freeze response which is prevalent in prey animals and also in people who are neurodiverse and who have PTSD, as the hypothalamus is overactive. Some people are attracted to my work because of aesthetics and some because of the representation and meaning. My illustrations that adorn items such as the trivets are my most popular items. It is hard to describe physical items such as this, they are better seen in images.
