...just in case you were maybe wondering...
I was born in 1971 with a mild learning difficulty. This was not recognised then and is still not fully understood today.
My school days were a nightmare, being told I was lazy and not attending during lessons.
Only with support from my family over the years, have I managed to get through this and am always happy and laughing! Life has to be a laugh, being miserable never solves anything!
As I became older, we found a tutor, who having seen my grandfather’s oil paintings, wanted to see if this had been passed to me. Having completed my first drawing and then painting, the Macaw, my tutor said he had never had a student do so well on a first attempt. I was so pleased to have actually achieved something without criticism ...and love every minute of my Art!
