I am an upholsterer and lampshade maker with a keen eye for detail and quality made items.

I trained with Sarah Wood of Mode Upholstery School, originally in upholstery after seeing the amount of furniture that is thrown away rather than reused. Coupled with a love of interior design, colour and fabrics it was a match made in heaven for me.

I do both modern and traditional upholstery and love nothing more than giving an antique piece a new lease of life and turning it into a unique designer statement piece. I love traditional upholstery especially how you can get lost in all the hand stitching when building the foundations for the seat with coir (coconut hair).

Upholstery services that I offer are:
Recover and complete reupholster projects.

Whilst with Sarah Wood I was introduced to lampshade making, both traditional and modern drum lampshades.

My modern drum shades are double sided (fabric on the outside and inside). Traditional or soft lampshades are where you cover a metal frame with fabric. Giving it an outer fabric and an inner lining, both being hand stitched to the frame. They are time consuming to make but very rewarding and people always comment on them!

I sell predesigned lampshades and I also take commissions for bespoke pieces to match your interior or tastes, let your imagination run wild!

I have a keen eye for design and detail. I will never sell a piece that I am not 100 percent happy with, not a stitch out of place.

I try to use eco or natural fabrics as much as possible and veer away from fossil fuel derived fabrics as much as possible.
