I am passionate about textiles! I am currently making unique textile gifts by wet felting bags brooches and corsages

I began my passion and career in textiles whilst at art college (quite a long time ago!) and initially sold my textile designs in and around London, which were used by some major companies for fashion. I then began to teach textile design and printing to groups in a day centre, which I loved. After this (and going somewhat off course) I pursued stained glass for a number of years, but now have returned to my first love of textiles.
I am currently concentrating on the wet felting - making unique textile gifts such as bags, brooches and corsages. The felt brooches are like mini paintings and I use wool and silk fibre to create texture, and add hand stitching, beads and machine stitching to add details. The bags I make are all seamless and formed by hand. I use Merino Perendale and Corridale wool fibres to make the bags and felt and I am conscious of upcycling and recycling as much as I can in all of my projects. I am also currently making textile brooches using recycled remnants of classic William Morris prints.
I juggle my passion for textiles with a part time job, an Etsy shop and a full family life, and I have a beautiful son.
