All my life I have enjoyed the outdoors, always feeling at home surrounded by nature and the elements appreciating everything from the awe inspiring mountains to the smaller details around our feet. This is definitely the basis for a lot of my work now: following the natural lines of wood grain, recreating the patterns of nature. My preference is to make items that are at the heart of homes and entertaining spaces both indoors and outdoors.
Of course, every now and then, I break from my mould and try something different - these are the pieces that are a little more contemporary, but they all have a story behind them.

In the home, kitchen products are finished with 3 or 4 coats of food safe oil which highlights the grain of the wood but also protects the wood and improves durability. Coffee tables, stools etc are finished in a hard wearing wood coat/varnish.
Outdoor items are treated with longevity in mind, using 2-3 coats of hardwood oil.
