Vintage beads, repurposed into hand assembled and modern jewellery
I source and upcycle vintage beads and jewellery, creating colourful and stylish modern earrings, bracelets, pendants and handbag charms/key fobs. The main emphasis is on foiled, lamp work and faceted glass and ceramic beads, plus repurposed 1970s plastic and boho wooden jewellery. Most pieces are unique, styled according to the beads I acquire. Included in this listing are a few examples of my work.
My business is based on the Wirral in North West England. From childhood I’ve been interested in the visual arts, can draw and paint reasonably well, and enjoy sewing and knitting too. A few months ago I decided to try making jewellery, just as an interest, and found it very enjoyable and satisfying. Family and friends like my work and encouraged me to develop it further.
Oxton Secret Gardens is being held this year on Sunday the 14th May. For the first time I will be displaying and selling my jewellery at the Kent Street Studios.
