Emreyhill is a unique creative small Family business based in Kent. We use ethical antique Venetian Millefiori trade beads! Celebrated among the most distinctive of beads, the Millefiori has become nearly synonymous with the West African Trade. Made from famed Murano glass, Millefiori beads derive their name from the Italian words for “Thousand Flowers” due to the characteristic floral motifs that decorate their surface. Millefiori beads were made throughout the 19th and 20th century primarily for export to Africa. Today they are found in many countries including Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and Ghana where they are also known by their Ashanti name “Chachasao”. Matching strands such as the one shown here are more rare and difficult to find. This is an old strand of African trade beads and some beads may be damaged or chipped due to age however it is in overall good condition. Great for the bead connoisseur and amateur collector alike. These unusual beads may be worn “as-is” or may be used as a unique addition to your special beaded.

All our jewellery are Hand made with love with unique essentials. We make A beautiful strand of powder glass African beads, made by the people of Krobo Mountain Ghana, West Africa, resembling old Venetian FANCY trade beads Made from bottles and other glass items that are made in to powder, then poured into moulds in order to create this nice looking beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of coloured glass powder and water, which is applied using a thin wooden stalk. They are cooked a second time to fix the décor. Each strand is unique and may vary slightly from strand pictured. Most Suitable for Men and women.
