Anvil and Wick is a small family business run by Philip and Jane Melling - working from their home in Brighton and sculpture studio in Newhaven, on the south coast of England.

“It is our aim to create unique products that draw on the shapes in the natural and man-made world around us, using traditional and modern metalworking techniques to produce a range of functional and beautiful hand-made objects for the home and garden.”

Our sculptural candle holders are inspired by shapes found in nature and the elements - they are crafted from steel with both traditional and modern processes of cutting, shaping and welding. We use a number of making jigs that help us keep the shapes very similar whilst keeping their authentic hand-made quality.
