Originally trained as a graphic designer. More recently I became interested in the different ways to move paint.
I am a Worthing based artist. I live with my partner Kate. Together we support three people with Learning Difficulties who live with us as part of the Shared Lives Scheme. In doing this job I have found an abundance of inspiration, time and enthusiasm for developing my creativity.
I produce mixed media pieces. I work with a variety of mediums including charcoal, pastels, pencil, acrylics, alcohol inks, print, watercolour and resin. My Art is an exploration of movement, colour and form. My aim is to evoke emotion and intrigue for the viewer.
I enjoy studying anatomy and its curves. The human body is more than just a person but a collection of colours, shades and lines, along with their individual energy that makes each form beautiful and unique. This inspires my charcoal and pastel life observations. Alongside these, you can see that fluid art is a passion of mine, anticipating the movement and collision of colours in the flow of the liquid paint. My current focus is to combine these two techniques to produce figurative images that move whilst static. I explore these ideas through collage, resin and printmaking.
You can get a feel for the vast range and style of my work by visiting my instagram account TeriFrancisArtist or the same name through Facebook. My extended interest has also moved into experimenting with resin which has proved the most challenging of mediums as there is so much that can go wrong but at fun!
