I process wool from our sheep, hand dye and make woven items using various weaving techniques using wool from British breed sheep
I am a wool and yarn producer and textile creative. We have a small flock of rare breed Leicester Longwool sheep at our small holding on the Norfolk/Suffolk borders. From their annual fleeces I process their long lustrous locks which I use naturally and also hand dye. As well as using them in my own work, I also make them available for other crafters. I also source fleeces from two other local farms to increase the variety of sheep breeds/wool I use. Again some of these are hand processed and dyed. I also support a number of spinning mills in England to process the remainder of my fleeces into 4 ply, double knit and aran weights which I use for weaving but also sell.
