Wildlife and pet portrait artist who aims to encourage a deeper connection with, and appreciation for, the natural world via art.
I create highly detailed representational drawings of wildlife and pets. The wildlife pieces I produce aim to showcase the immense natural beauty we are fortunate to have around us, in particular delving into the fascinating world of animal behaviour and physiology. I hope to encourage others to connect on a deeper level to nature by bringing a small snippet of it inside via the means of art, sharing their home with their favourite species or bringing an element of action, motion, movement or simply colour and pattern to the walls of their homes. In doing so I hope to raise conservation awareness and funds for wildlife projects around the world.
For pet portraiture I aim to capture the unique character of each and every individual, producing a piece that allows owners to cherish their pets for years to come.
I predominantly use coloured pencils for my drawings and each piece can take between 20-160 hours depending on size and subjects. I love the intricacy that I can achieve with coloured pencils and find putting each pencil stroke down on the paper to be rather therapeutic.
Alongside my original artworks and commission work, I also offer fine art Giclée prints, plantable greetings cards, wooden pin badges and other products featuring my artwork.
