My work is both functional and decorative ceramics, wheel thrown and using glazes and oxides to express the forms.
I graduated from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York with a degree in Fine Art with a focus on Ceramics and Textiles. I also hold a masters degree in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City.
After a 20 year career in commercial Interior Design in New York and London, I’ve rediscovered my passion for clay and have returned to teaching and making my own work. My focus is on both functional and decorative stoneware pieces that are thrown and refined on the potters wheel. I use oxides and glazes to express the form of the piece, using mainly natural hues. I’m also experimenting with glass and clay combinations as well. I’m available for commissions, teaching both larger and small group sessions.
