Vintage textiles, needlepoint, tapestry repurposed into assorted styles of bags

I work from my studio in Colchester, Essex, England. My work is made from found items and textile, discarded from their previous life to live again in a different shape and story. Feeling the energy that the textile or object may generate is stimulating and exciting. My ideas are never a fixed plan, they form themselves into a finished piece, taking many directions and ultimately becoming a work which surprises me. Whatever it turns out to be its meaningful to me. Ultimately, my work closes the loop on sustainability, nothing that isnt found or discarded makes it into my studio.
