Wood turner

I have been wood turning since Autumn 2020. I spent the winter 2021 ‘Lockdown’ making best use of the time by setting up my own workshop. The benefit of this is that as I have regular monthly lessons with Kevin Hutson (RPT), I have somewhere to consolidate new techniques learnt during the lessons with Kevin.

I love the creativity involved in the objects that I make. Perhaps the most exciting thing, which I never cease to wonder at, is how the object usually starts off as a very bland piece of wood and reveals hidden gems in colour and grain.

I’m now ready to progress in to the world of craft fairs with what I’m now making.
