Hello, my name is Justine and I run my company, ‘Casa del Duende’ from my studio in Weymouth. I have recently moved to the seaside from London to concentrate on developing and expanding my skills and business. I have a degree in Multi-Media stitched textiles but ended up working in an office for too long!
I am dedicated to up-cycling vintage fabrics and obsessed with Japan, so I set up the Casa del Duende to combine these passions. I create one-off bags and accessories from vintage kimonos. My collection includes bags, purses, buttons, earrings and zip pouches. I try and use up all of my fabrics as they are so precious! These fabrics have been carefully sourced to ensure that they are eco-friendly.
I am currently exploring new natural dyeing techniques and traditional Japanese embroidery to create a new range of accessories and one-off art pieces.
