Eco conscious and beautifully handmade textiles
I have always enjoyed making things. As a child I was always doing something creative, whether knitting, colouring, drawing or creating artefacts on my little potters wheel! As a teenager I dabbled in dressmaking and when I bought my first home, I made curtains and cushions on my first sewing machine.
About 10 years ago I started to attend sewing workshops including dressmaking, bag making etc and I have self-taught myself lots of new skills over the years. Having upgraded my machine at the beginning of lockdown 2020, I now sew every day apart from high days and holidays! I love to sew with beautiful fabrics such as Liberty, Susie Watson and Sophie Allport to make pretty items for gifting, or to make your own home that little bit more special.
With an emphasis on natural materials, recycled waddings and toy fillings, zero waste products and eco friendly packaging, caring for the environment is at the heart of everything I do.
I sew in my little workroom in Cambridgeshire where I have a collection of beautiful fabrics, ribbons, buttons and other fripperies!
I sew all kinds of unique items (some of them are one-offs) including zipped pouches, pin cushions, fabric baskets, lavender hearts, bunting, cushion covers etc and I love nothing more than playing around with fabrics, coming up with a design and sewing it all together.
My favourite colours are pinks and greeny-blues, but I do steer myself away from these sometimes!
If you like the sound of the above, I hope you will enjoy browsing my items. I will be adding them to this site over the next few weeks.
You can find me on Etsy and Instagram. And of you would like to see my products in a bricks and mortar shop, you can do so at the Topiary Tree gift shop in Histon, just outside Cambridge where you will find a selection of the items I make.
