First Generation Farmer making lambskin rugs and blankets
I am a shepherdess producing and rearing pedigree Romney sheep on The Greensand ridge. My sheep are reared on forage alone- grass in the summer and hay and haylage in the depths of winter, this means that my sheep grow slower and can therefore produce beautiful fibre before they head to the abattoir.
All our rugs are cured using traditional methods before being sent to be tanned, they come back with a beautiful suede underside.
At Lucies Lambs we are really passionate about using the whole animal and not wasting anything so with the wool price so low we have decided to process our wool. In very exciting news we have found a small mill who will make us blankets out of our own yarn so that nothing is wasted!
Wherever possible Lucies Lambs uses small businesses to assist in the production of our products.
We cant wait to show you and the general public our fabulous products and what we do!
