All pieces are individual although I may repeat colour schemes and styles. I use a range of materials in my designs.
I work from the comfort of my home in Winchester. Mainly I focus on making necklaces, bracelets, earrings and jewellery sets. I have been experimenting with different mediums which have proved a success with family and friends ( they are kind) and hope to include rings and bangles into my repertoire soon.I use a range of materials: gemstones, sterling and silver plated findings, copper, glass seed beads and a variety of cords/chains. I am relatively new to selling jewellery but have been a crafter all my life. Retirement brought some much needed free time and I took the opportunity to develop and define my techniques in jewellery making. My makes are individual so no piece will be identical, nonetheless, they may have similarities in colour, style or texture. I would consider my makes to be classic and traditional using the customary long established gemstones, however the choice of gemstone available today inspires contempory and bohemian designs. So I am inspired usually by the texture and colour of the gemstones, they suggest patterns and designs. I am also influenced by things I see online, in magazines and other designers. Making jewellery takes me to one of my happy places.
