I am textile designer with 12 years industry experience for retail and designer brands.
After graduating from The University of Leeds in 2007 with a degree in Fashion Design I began my career as a Design Assistant for high street retailer Jigsaw. This passion for all things textiles quickly promoted me to become the in-house Print Design/Developer.
After Jigsaw I moved to one of the most established, and longest running creative textile design studios in London, Helena Gavshon, who I still freelance for today.
House Alice was founded in 2020 when the idea was born to make the leap into designing my own range of products. You will find lampshades, wallpapers, cushions, personalised art prints, notebooks, and stationary. My style fuses a love of all things ethnic with a colour pop twist. A minimalist at heart, but with maximalist tendencies means my designs can be used as stand alone statement pieces against neutrals, or within a full on riot of pattern.
All designs are originally created by hand, in my studio using a variety of textile mediums, then digitally printed. Lampshades and cushions are hand made to order, and can be bespoke.
