I am a painter living and working in Faversham, Kent. I work mostly in oils, although occasionally pick up pencils or soft pastels if I fancy a change of pace. Im not wedded to any particular way of doing things - as far as I am concerned, if there is line, light and movement then it is worth painting. Having said that, there are themes to which I return - right now I am interested in painting unglamorous buildings.
Im lucky enough to have a very good art printer not too far from me, and some of my work I make available as prints - both framed and unframed. I sell my work direct and through galleries, and recently decided to dip a toe into arts and crafts fairs. My initial plan is to show smaller originals, prints and greetings cards. Depending on how that goes I will look for imaginative ways to diversify.
Ive exhibited in Kent, London, Dorset and Los Angeles, where I won a prize at the 2018 Beverly Hills Art Show. In 2017 I was shortlisted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
