Hi, I am Laura, the creator of Mollie Moo Handmade Clothing. I spent a 10-year career as a teacher but decided that the work life balance wouldn’t work for me when I had children.

When my daughter was small, I could never find bright clothes in the shops and since having my son, I have found this even worse for boys. I love rainbows and clothing that all little ones can wear. So, Mollie Moo was born! I make everything in my small sewing room at home and mostly whilst my son naps. I am starting to do custom orders, but this is reliant on childcare and lockdown measures.

I like to use unique bright colours and spend far too many hours securing exclusive prints on Instagram from a collection of fantastic designers. This means you can only buy these fabrics from me! All my fabrics are printed by the same company to ensure the quality is consistent.

I aim to be as environmentally aware as possible and ship in recyclable packaging. I also use all my fabric scraps for bibs, hats and face wipes. There is very little waste and a much smaller carbon footprint than the large fast fashion companies. I am also in the process of setting up a resale page as the fabric is such fantastic quality it can be used for more than one child!
