Hidden Norfolk and Endangered
Blessed with very special countryside around us, we have lived in our current home in Catfield within The Broads for 37 years. Working as a teacher, alongside my social worker husband, we have raised our family here. My above two labels are totally inspired by what I see, smell, touch and hear around me.
I paint in pastels, watercolours and acrylics,
In addition to selling my 2D paintings (original and limited 1/40 editions ) and 3D craft ... my images are placed on modern clocks, cushions, ceramic 4 tiles, Durham and bone china mugs, tea towels and cards.
Over the past eight years I have been selling at Norfolk craft fairs and shops, however, recently I have branched wider to Edzell, Angus, Scotland where our daughter and family now live.
There are many similarities between their weather, farming and wildernesses to ours. Shops where I have sold are tmer the event had to be cancelled. I was particularly disappointed as A.G. Meale had offered me brilliant space for three weeks for a stall in their gardens...such a good location!
As a seal warden for the last six years, I have had a chance to photo seals in many guises. Certainly my work portraying these delightful creatures in addition to the sadly endangered puffin in Scotland are very popular!
