Earth Sand and Fire

I spend my days fusing glass in the studio in my garden, items range from very large wall art panels and bowls, to small flowers.

I called my business Earth Sand and Fire as I’m fascinated by the different creative process that come through these elements.
I work with clear float glass most of the time, that’s the glass in your windows and picture frames, and add colour and design using enamels, a range of chemicals and coloured glass particles called frit to create my designs.
I am particular excited by creating colour and texture in the glass using household chemicals and items. For example, bicarbonate of soda creates bubbles!
I prefer to make one off pieces, and take commissions. I create very large panels of wall art, that are mounted so ready to hang.
I also produce large and small unique bowls, various sized lanterns, and lots of other items particularly at Christmas.
One of my most popular items is the glass garden flower. These are fused glass and come in a range of styles. They attach to a spike ready to plant in the garden. What is unique is I have designed them so the can be used as bird drinking or bathing point!
