My first passion is all things jewellery, having started my jewellery journey at the age of 15 at school which inspired me to go onto study a Jewellery, Silversmithing and Design degree then to work as a jeweller for a small independent jeweller. I was inspired to share my passion for being creative, so went onto train as a secondary teacher, teaching Design and Technology for many years and to also raise a family !
During this time.. .some 40 plus years, I have made my own jewellery and experimented with many types of materials and techniques and continued to further my knowledge and skills.
I have always wanted to make my passion of jewellery and teaching into a business, combining the making of unique pieces of jewellery to sell and also to run workshops. I love to enable others to also enjoy the ability to make their own jewellery and believe everyone is creative at heart, which is the basis behind my business Creative at Hart.
My current range of jewellery incorporates beautiful beads and suede cord to create necklaces, bracelets and matching earrings.
I love colour, so this is often reflected in some of my pieces.
My recent range of bead earrings and resin jewellery are inspired by the amazing colours of my dried and pressed flowers, each individual piece is displayed with a matching gift card... a prefect present.
