When Almond Trees Sing - Jewellery

When Almond Trees Sing

I collect, grow and dry, flowers and leaves which I mainly embed in epoxy resin but also other materials including clay and cement.

I enjoy walking or cycling in the countryside with my lovely lurcher cross, Candle (and sometimes my lovely husband tags along too!). At times like these, I find myself in awe of the colour and intricate detail in even the smallest of flowers and leaves. Inspired as I am, I attempt to capture some of this beauty, first through the drying process and then through embedding flowers and leaves, many of which I grow myself, in UV stable (hals+) epoxy resin. I am currently experimenting with other medium including clay, cement and plaster of paris.
