Tigoung Nonma

TN is an association of Artists and Craft designers from Burkina Faso and the UK

I sell Art objects and Craft designs on behalf of a co-operative of physically disabled Designers and Artists based in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Tigoung Nonma means Strength through Unity and members specialise in different Art or Design domains. For example leather work, textiles, bronze sculptures, jewellery design, Art made from recycled materials and woodwork. A highly skilled group of entrepreneurs, Tigoung Nonma came together in 2005 to create business opportunities to improve their lives. However, due to the unjust global economy and the significant security threat in the area it has become increasingly difficult for the co-operative to support its members. As an honorary member of TN I also sell my own work to raise money for the associations health fund, through which we pay for the health needs of the members in Burkina Faso.
