Gitte’s clean Danish design and Hygge together with my passion for working with glass has inspired my unique wall art

My name is Gitte, I am Danish in origin and have lived and worked in the uk since 1981. I am a nurse and midwife. I have been creating glass wall art for a while now. I have always been fascinated by glass and how you can mould shape and colour it. I have visited many glass centres including the Murano glass works.
The Danes like to create a cosy, warm, friendly atmosphere called “Hygge” and this is very much still part of me my home and my art.
In design the Danes enjoy clean, simple designs using natural elements and nature as inspiration.
I create glass wall art simple in design, sometimes whimsical in nature.
I take commission and also make individualised pieces.
I hope anyone who looks and buys my pieces gets as much pleasure out of looking at them as I do making them.
