Peter Herridge Upcycled Crafts and Photographs

I use upcycled items to make decorative and utuility pieces.

I have always had a love of wood, what you can see in it and what it could become, so I decided to put my ideas and feelings in to action.
All my pieces are made from reclaimed wood. I try to keep as much of the original shape as possible and depending on the type of wood, they are finished in wax or varnish. I also use other upcycled items to make functional pieces such as lamps and candle holders.
My other passion is photography which has taken me from the West Highlands of Scotland to an abandoned slate quarry in Wales.
I live on the coast and this figures largely in my work. I also enjoy still life photography, abstract and the forgotten and abandoned.
