Bright as a Button Jewellery

Handcrafted Fine Silver Jewellery, inspired by the Art Deco era, Nature and Buttons. All pieces are made using clay

Launched in December 2018 Bright as a Button Jewellery a small artisan jeweller specialising in handcrafted fine silver jewellery.

Drawing inspiration from Art Deco, Nature and of course Buttons, I mould and sculpt metal clay into beautiful pieces of jewellery, adding accents of gold, cubic zirconia and high-quality handpicked gemstones to embellish and add colour to the piece.

Having trained as a baker and worked in the baking industry for a number of years, I found that skills I had for that crossed over nicely into metal clay. I started making jewellery as a bit of an outlet after a day in the office, having moved away from the day to day hands creativity of to baking to more of a management roll.

Starting with beaded jewellery, which I sold to raise money for charity, I progressed to making silver jewellery, after being introduced to it by a friend. I haven’t looked back since, taking numerous courses honing my skills and learning new techniques.

As well as making pieces to sell at craft fairs and through my website, I take commissions.
